Suzuki AN1215HK - engine vibration.

I have a Suzuki AN125. At 21,000 k's, it developed a bad vibration suddenly while being ridden. Performance was not effected. The local dealer where I purchased it, replaced the drive belt and rollers in the transmission without any improvement. Looking through the slots in the shroud over the flywheel-mounted cooling fan, I saw that a large segment of the fan was missing. Replaced fan and vibration cured. Apparently this is a reasonably common fault. My scooter does do most of its running at 70 - 80 kph, maybe that puts enough strain on the plastic fan to cause it to flex and fracture.
