Need Help Choosing The Right Scooter :)

Hey guys, first off let me just say it's a pretty cool website and relatively useful when it comes to finding all the information about scooters, however I've never really had a scooter in my life so kind of clueless about some things and really confused about which scooter to get so I'd appreciate it if you can help me out.

So Here's what I want, a 50cc scooter (to avoid the hassle of getting a moped license), 1500$> , Can handle long distances (I live in East Tamaki and I'll be using it to go 2 town almost everyday so around 39kms on a daily basis), safe, reliable, easy to find parts for, goes higher than 50km/h (get the tuning done perhaps? )

Scooters are super fun to drive, way cheaper than a car or a bus if you don't mod them, but i got sucked into modding mine and i'm spending quite a bit on it, it's fun though.
Correct me if im wrong but I would stay away from the chinese brand scooters simply because they break down alot quicker, parts are not made of the same qualitly and the fussier mechanics try to avoid servicing them.
Stick with reliable brands. Scooters made in Japan or Taiwan are pretty good value for your money/reliable. European ones look cool and are built well but you pay more for them and the parts are expensive.
If you want more power id get a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke, as the 4 strokes seem to struggle when dubbing an extra person or going up hills.

I love my Yamaha Jog, there are heaps of parts available for it, it's reliable and you can take another person on the back of it without any issues. It just looks a bit dated thats all, but who cares.

You're absolutely right, I'm actually considering the "Adly 50cc" scootling is selling, If I can get a bargin on it, I'll buy it in no time, these guys seem like the best in the business.. Yamaha Jog is pretty cool but the only issue is it can only get up to 50km/h which will be a little annoying when going up a hill or something otherwise it will be my second buy option
