all going now, prob was elec.

I filled the tank, did 106km then re-filled (used approx half a tank), took 4L to fill again so its doing around 4L to 100km (thats a mix of about 2/3 town riding and 1/3 open road speed). I think that's bang on what the Gilera spec site says it should do. I recon I could knock maybe 1/2 L or so off if I rode it nicer, ie not zip up the side of cars, taking off as fast as poss at lights etc.

List of pro vs con of the DNA VS the FX125 I had stolen

DNA

PROS
looks good
handles well
helmet storage (inside fake petrol tank)
good lights
front and rear disks

CONS
Looks like it should go faster than it actually does
no kick start if the battery goes flat
cant open helmet storage if the steering is locked (turned)
sounds crap
digital speedo not the best
no side stand
nightmare to get to anything if it needs fixing

FXR125

PROS
goes faster than it looks like it would
nice sounding twin cam engine
5 speed manual so fast off the mark and uses bugger all gas (close to 2L per 100km)
elec and kick start
big wheels will get over ANYTHING
side and center stand
easy to work on, not that it ever needed fixing it the 10k I had it

CONS
no storage
looks strange
crap headlight
drum rear break
