"Progress Racing" unrestricted CDI for Honda. Made in Japan by Daytona. Gives more top speed by removing the RPM limit. The ignition timing map suits standard or mildly tuned engines (exhaust, intake etc).

This CDI delimits/ derestricts the engine to rev in higher RPM ranges than standard so you need to check that it does not run lean at high RPM. It will usually be essential to retune the carb when running this in conjunction with performance exhausts etc. The factory recommends trying slightly lighter weight rollers for best performance.
This has a twin rounded plug and will not fit later models. The graph below shows the power (HP) /road speed curve (red line, compared with earlier CDI and measured on chassis dyno).
