Consumer.org.nz puts the case for scooters - all good news!

Consumer NZ has published the folowing info about scooters (in particular 50cc moped class scooters) on their website here:

If you are a scooter rider you probably knew how much cheaper it is to ride a scooter, not to mention the fun factor. ACC was threatening to raise the levy part of your rego cost each year but if you are a city commuter you would still be saving at least , (bigger saving if comparing to a more expensive car as depreciation cost rises). It has since been announced that the increases will not be nearly as much as first proposed, which sounds like a return to common sense by them.

Consumer NZ, publishers of the Consumer magazine also have a great impartial website offering advise and helpful info to consumers who want to stay educated about their choices. More details about them on:

Get on a scooter, and stay on one! Better all round.
scootling is all good
