Wild weather in Auckland

Postby avai007 » Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:44 pm

Anyone get caught in the flooding yesterday in Auckland? I was around point chev and the sea was the highest I've seen it for a while - waves breaking onto the roads around there in parts! I heard Tamaki Drive was underwater too.

If you simply can't resist the tempation to take on the brine on your scooter, make sure you give it a good hose down afterward. Salt, sand and silt are not friends of your scooter's metal bits :)

Tamaki drive was totally underwater, any scooter going along there at high tide would need a snorkel!
