Chain length required

Postby doriandarby » Mon May 12, 2008 8:04 pm

Hi there,
I've got a Sachs Madass 50 which I'm fitting a larger front sprocket to. The originals specs are:

420 pitch 116 links
11T sprocket

I'm fitting a 14T sprocket - anyone have any ideas how many links I'll need in the new chain? Thanks!

Hey tell me how the bigger sprocket works out for you...
the 11T sprocket, thats the first gear right?
what it like to start on the 14T?

can I ask what sort of area you live in? like hilly or flat...

Done anything else to it? I heard just releasing the airways does wonders for the acceleration.

Yea Im keen to do a bit to my 50cc madass, just dont have the money just yet, but one day...

I live in a hilly area, so I ended up leaving the gearing as standard and fitted a big bore kit that I bought from a company in the UK. Took it to 80cc and with their bigger carb and a modified CDI the Madass cruised along at 65-70kph no prob
